We offer two ways to provide workplace safety training to your employees in our Online Training System: individual and classroom. So what is an individual course?

An individual course allows your employees to take the course at their own pace. They will progress through the course on an Internet-connected device (computer, tablet, phone). Employees will be able to take a quiz at the conclusion of the course and will receive a certificate generated by the system if they pass.

The advantage of enrolling employees in an individual training course is that you don’t need to gather everyone in one place at a scheduled time. The content is the same for everyone taking the course, so training is consistent. Lastly, no one at your organization must administer a quiz and enter grades into the system; the system automatically grades the quiz and generates certificates for passing scores.

Let's get started on where to find an individual course, and how to assign them.

From the dashboard select the Training option and click on Course Library.

Right away you'll be asked to add trainees to your company by email. If your employees do not have an email, help them create a simple email address such as a Gmail account. You can add individually, or with a bulk email list from your company data base.

Once you have added the people needing a training course, select your course. Please note, we offer a Spanish version in many of our topics!

Lastly, a due date. Maybe the training needs to be completed before a job starts in a few days, or maybe a course needs to be completed to maintain their current training within your company; choose a date for everyone to complete their training by.

You will see a confirmation notice once you have completed the enrollment.

Don’t let the name “individual” fool you – you can enroll any number of employees at one time into an individual course. Individual simply means that employees will be taking the course on their own, individually.

Special note to employees: you do not need to print or send your certificates to your training manager(s). As you pass/complete courses, certificates are immediately available to training manager(s) and you in the OWYN Safety Management Platform.
