How can I access and customize the Employee Handbook in OWYN Safety?
The Employee Handbook in OWYN Safety serves as a critical resource for employees, providing key safety and operational guidelines. Below, you will find step-by-step guidance on accessing the handbook and customizing it to include company-specific safety requirements.
Accessing the Employee Handbook
Navigate to Safety Programs > Program Resources > Safety Handbooks within the OWYN Safety platform.
The Employee Handbook should be one of the first options available. Both English and Spanish versions are typically accessible in this section, enabling broad usability.
Adding Custom Safety Requirements
If you need to include specific safety topics in your company's Employee Handbook, OWYN Safety supports customization. Here's how:
Look for the building icon in the upper right corner.
Click Edit Company Settings.
Scroll to the "Company Specific Safety Requirements" field in English or Spanish.
Add your company specific information to the appropriate field.
Once the information is added, save the changes. These updates will appear in your Employee Handbook under the specified safety requirements section.
Important Notes
Any company specific safety requirements added to the employee handbook appears as an addendum at the end of the following manuals: OSHA Compliant Safety Program, Cal-OSHA IIPP, Washington State Safety Manual, and Minnesota State Safety Program.
Company specific safety requirements are optional. We recommend including safety requirements that exceed what is included in the existing employee handbook content.
