Part of compliance tracking is keeping track of your safety data sheets, or SDS. Following a few easy steps, you can upload the SDS you need for your job sites.
To locate your SDS on our site start by logging in and selecting Compliance Tracking on the toolbar and select Safety Data Sheets from the drop down.
This SDS information is available to everyone in your organization.
From here, you have the ability to Upload an SDS, Download Files, Export CSV and action items for each SDS.
Adding an SDS
Let's add an SDS. Select the Upload SDS button
A pop up will appear and you just need to fill out the information. Click in the box or drag a file there to upload your SDS and click submit when it has loaded.
You will now have access to that SDS anytime you need it.
Now, what about the Actions buttons?
Editing Existing SDS
If you are replacing an existing SDS in your system, we recommend adding "Updated Version as of (date)" to the title since the old version can be archived. Special Note: SDS must be maintained for 30 years.
You can edit the chemical name.
Archiving/Unarchiving Existing SDS
You can archive your SDS.
On the other side of this is Unarchiving your SDS. Click the down arrow and select Archived.
Choose the Chemical you want to Unarchive and select the Action button.
Downloading copies of SDS
Finally, you can also download your SDS.
The document will be downloaded so you can read over it, print it or compare it to what you may have on file at the job site.
Downloading Files
This button allows users to download all of the SDS that appears in their table. All PDFs will be in a zip file that they can view/download individually.
Special note: users should pay attention to the Status Filter:
If the filter is set to active, clicking Download Files will produce a zip file that contains only active SDS.
Missing SDS
Are you missing any SDS's? You should be able to get them from your suppliers. You can also find a catalog of free SDS at this site: Safety Data Sheets | Free SDS Database | Chemical Safety We are not affiliated with this site, so if you don't find it useful, please let us know.
